Boats were neck to neck coming out of bouy 3. They touched. The riger's right front spoon went flying. The crowd commented - "where's the rigger".. "it's still running".. HOW? this tells the story!

Actually the rigger was up by one lap when this occured. Neither boat finished the race due to being stuck together. Enlarge the picture to see the rigger's booms stuck into the cat.
